About Me
Hi there!
It´s Barbara, but everyone calls me Babsi. Currently I am studying primary school teaching in the nicest little city of Germany, Freiburg. It´s simply the best place to live, come visit!
For the following fall and spring semester I will be studying at Lesley University in Boston and can´t wait to get to know the area, the people and see a lot of the US. I haven´t had any expierence with couchsurfing yet, because mostly when I travelled I stayed with friends, family, volunteer houses or hostels, but I have only heard great things about it! Now it's my turn and I am really excited to get to know locals!
Let me tell you some more about me.. Due to my bilingual upbringing (I am half Spanish) and regular contact to foreigners I have soon started to love different languages and cultures! After my A-levels I decided to go to Southamerica to do some voluntary work which was one of the greatest things I have ever done. During this time I got to meet really amazing people and ended up travelling from the South of Chile to the North of Colombia by bus and always being able to stay with friends. Since then I have been studying in Freiburg living in a student´s residency sharing not only a flat but great times and a lot of fun with 12 other guys. During the last years I did have the great luck to travel to several other places like Sweden, Israel, ... to visit friends and family. Once I even was on "tour" with my English drama group, that was a great experience! Now I am looking for a place to stay in Boston, which isn´t very easy from abroad and I prefer doing it on site! And I am really excited about getting to know new people! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friend Teresa Imbsweiler and I (she is here on couchsurfing as well) have been looking for a room to share in Boston. It is really difficult and as university (we are going to Lesley! YEiih) starts on the 31st of August we need a place to stay the first few days so that we won´t have to sleep under the bridge .. (it´s a saying in German ;)) We arrive on the 30th of August and would be very happy if someone wouldn´t mind two fun internationals sleeping on their couch for some days.
Happy to meet you guys and soo excited about Boston and it´s culture!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had the priviledge to get to know so many different people from all over the world and so many places that I can call home now. Travelling Southamerica by myself and volunteering there has definetly been one of the most amazing and worthwhile experience. But I am grateful for so many things and definetly ready for new adventures!
