Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Starting to travel in real life this summer and interested in not just doing the touristy things but seeing the way people actually live in these touristy locales. For example, I now live in South Florida, a place my family often vacationed when I was a child, but now it is where I live my real life - where I work, go to school, shop, go out with my friends, etc. There are a whole variety of places I visit only when out-of-town friends come on vacations. I want to see how that plays out in other towns, cities, and countries too!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am supporting my return to school by tutoring high school students in English, algebra, and science. So I have some experience in teaching.

I would love to share language practice. I have taken some Spanish classes but I am hardly fluent and hope that spending a month in Portugal and Spain will help me become much more skilled.
