Hi, my name is Barbara! I'm 20 and study dentistry at the Medical University of Warsaw.
I'm a kind of a tidy person who needs some schedule and a little bit of routine on a daily basis. Sometimes, though, I like to get out of my comfort zone by learning something new or traveling. I'm a little bit introvert but at the same time genuinely enjoy being around people and making new friends.
I'm a dancer of 2 totally different styles - hiphop dance and swing dances. Hiphop for me is about expressing myself, while in swing dances I find a real connection with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When on a trip, I'm always searching for some interesting places to stay and nice people to meet. Traveling for me is more about getting to know the people I come across and soaking up the atmosphere of the place than just sightseeing. I believe that there is no better way to do it than while eating a breakfast together! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My all-time favourite band are Arctic Monkeys! I also listen to other rock bands and also enjoy hip-hop, R&B and some more classic rythms like swing music. I like to watch films connected with social issues, portraying interesting stories of people who live a totally different life than me - generally, anything that I can find inspiration in. When it comes to literature, my recent favourite is Georges Perec. I don't need much action in a plot of a book to enjoy it, I'm mostly searching for beautiful words. But, my guilty pleasure is rereading over and over again Harry Potter books (even though I'm already 20)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Together with my best friend we went on a month-during trip across western Europe, having the time of our lives and meeting the best people ever - you can see some of them in my "reference" section :)
