For me, the beauty of a country is made of the nature and the people you meet through your trip in the country. Tourist books are very useful but they can't tell about the secret spots who make a place soulful magical, only a local knows this kind of thing.
In the other hand, money can be a barrier to this opportunity and luck to travel around the world and thanks to Couchsurfing is not an issue anymore. In this community, values are put first as sharing and caring . Indeed, welcoming a stranger and treating him like family or friend is the purest way to share with and to care for.
And on my opinion this is what life is about.
