About Me

I'm from a small city south from Vienna and I am studying technical physics in the masters programme at the TU Vienna. In autum 2017 I finished my study of Viola at the conservatory in Vienna. In my spare time I do a lot of sports like climbing, cycling and mountainbiking. In winter I like skiing and ski touring too.

I am an open minded person, who is open to new things. The only thing I don't do is drinking alcohol, but I am fine with others do so (honestly it is most of the time quite funny being out with drunk people). This has no specific reason, it just never happened and I have never felt the urge to try it until today.
When it comes to stupid ideas in a sportive manner, I am the first person who is in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing, because I want to meet new people all over the world. When I am travelling I try to avoid hotels and prefer to stay at smaller b&b or campsides, because I want to get to know the "real" culture of a country. Couchsurfing seemed to be an interesting concept to me, so I decided to try this one.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Classical music (especially the romantic one), film music (H. Zimmer, Einaudi,...), typical "radio music".... But I am always open to new ones :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling to Russia alone when I was 18, without being able to read Cyrillic script. In Ekaterinenburg I joined a climbing group. With them I spent two weeks climbing at the Ural and later on in Siberia. Travelling in the Transsib for 36 hours was quite impressing too.

Teach, Learn, Share

I already have experience in teaching Viola and Violin to small children, teenagers and adults. Furthermore I am able to explain some physics and maths hopefully. Since last summer I am officially authorized to show other people how to climb in alpine surroundings and "normal" rock climbing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Maybe typical Austrain dishes? (if they want to) :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Russian Federation, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria, Switzerland
