My name is Barbara. I was born and raised in Hungary. 🇭🇺

I work in marketing, communication and events.

Due to my new job and many work events out of town I do not have the capacity to host right now, so my calendar is blocked.
If you have a public trip, I might offer hosting you in case I am free in the weekend.

🌍🥾My bucketlist for now is basically to visit all the capitals of Europe, and to see everything!
Only Ireland is missing.

I like city and beach getaways, when I am traveling I make sure I visit the main sights, but also like to leave time to just enjoy the local atmosphere.

ME AS A HOST:

I take hosting seriously, I do my best to make sure you enjoy your saty and have to best possible experience in Budapest

📩 📆 I prefer to receive request not too soon before your arrival. (1-2 weeks, same week, same day)

🛋️ the maximum length of time I like to host is 2-3 nights, we can prolong if necessary and if we both enjoy our time together

WHAT I CAN OFFER:

🛏️You will have a small, but cute private room for yourself.

🧴🧼🫧 You don’ t have to bring towels, or toiletry, you can use mine. Don’t worry I keep some for men as well.

🖼️ ❌PLEASE don't bring me any gadgets. I am not a fan of useless things, I am trying to minimize my stuff.

👩🏼‍🍳 ♥️ I looooove cooking, I enjoy cooking together with people even more, if you really want to give me something, I would prefer to cook your favourite traditional meal with you.

🌱 🍳🥛PLEASE let me know if you are on any special diet. In case I have time I try to prepare something for you. Feel free to help yourself to anything you like from the kitchen.

🚬⛔️Smoking inside the apartment is forbidden. Iqos and all similar gadgets included.

✅ I think it is a reasonable expectation to spend a little time together. A dinner, chat on one of the evenings is perfectly fine.

❌ Not seeing you between your arrival and departure at all is NOT okay, but hanging out all the time together is too much. Let’s find the golden mean.

✅It is OK if you want to go out and return late, I don’t mind, just let me know so I don’t worry about you, and please don’t get way too drunk.

ME AS A GUEST

I have mostly been hosting, so I know what it is like to host someone. I will do my best to be an easy guest and not to bother you with anything if not necessary. I can manage on my own if I have to.

I dont expect much, a place to sleep is perfectly enough for me, couch in a shared room is great.
I will appreciate everything you are willing to share with me. Time, experience, nice conversations, anything, really.

When I request to be hosted I come to travel and visit your city, not to stay at home, so you can be sure I will not hang around much in your apartment - only if you ask me to.

I will respect all your rules, just please be clear about them.

I usually travel with a small bag, no luggage, even if for a week or more, but I will bring you typical Hungarian chocolates, paprika, Turo Rudi, wine or palinka, souvenirs if you collect magnets, or anything, just tell me :)
