My name is Barbara, people call me Barbi. I was born and raised in Hungary. 🇭🇺

I used to work as a brand manager in marketing. I managed famous food brands, like Nescafé Dolce Gusto, Starbucks, Häagen-Dazs, Iglo ( Findus or Bird’s Eye in your country), and a few more.
Now I am the marketing manager of a company specialized in horticultural lighting and greenhouses :)

I am an active person, I recently got back to my old hobby of latin dances. I like board games, reading and of course traveling as much as possible.
My bucketlist for now is basically to visit all the capitals of Europe, and to see everything!
I like city and beach getaways, when I am traveling I make sure I visit the main sights, but also like to leave time to just enjoy the local atmosphere.

✍️ have at least one reference. It is okay if it is a personal one, not from a host or a guest.

You often ask me how to get a reference at all if no one wants to host you, because you have 0, but you cannot host either:
You can start going to meetings through the app, help tourists in your city with tips, or use hangout function in your country, or during any of your travels to get personal references, and then you will more likely to get hosted.

❌Empty profiles with 0 reference and photos will be ignored without a word.

What I can offer:

🛏️You will have a small, but cute private room for yourself.

🧴🧼🫧 You don’ t have to bring towels, or toiletry, you can use mine. Don’t worry I keep some for men as well.

🖼️ ❌PLEASE don't bring me any gadgets. I am not a fan of useless things, I am trying to minimize my stuff.

🌱 🍳🥛PLEASE let me know if you are on any special diet. In case I have time I try to prepare something for you. Feel free to help yourself to anything you like from the kitchen.

🚬⛔️Smoking inside the apartment is forbidden. Iqos and all similar gadgets included.

✅ I think it is a reasonable expectation to spend a little time together. A dinner, chat on one of the evenings is perfectly fine.

❌ Not seeing you between your arrival and departure at all is NOT okay, but hanging out all the time together is too much. Let’s find the golden mean.

✅It is OK if you want to go out and return late, I don’t mind, just let me know so I don’t worry about you, and please don’t get way too drunk.

ME AS A GUEST

I have mostly been hosting, so I know what it is like to host someone. I will do my best to be an easy guest and not to bother you with anything if not necessary. I can manage on my own if I have to.

I dont expect much, a place to sleep is perfectly enough for me, couch in a shared room is great.
I will appreciate everything you are willing to share with me. Time, experience, nice conversations, anything, really.

When I request to be hosted I come to travel and visit your city, not to stay at home, so you can be sure I will not hang around much in your apartment - only if you ask me to.

I will respect all your rules, just please be clear about them.

I usually travel with a small bag, no luggage, even if for a week or more, but I will bring you typical Hungarian chocolates, paprika, Turo Rudi, wine or palinka, souvenirs if you collect magnets, or anything, just tell me :)
