About Me
Hola! My name is Bárbara but they call me B or Barbs. I'm an easy going person who enjoys with the simple things of life. I hate the monotony above all, so I'm always trying to do things in a new or different way. If I had to describe myself with one word would be DIS.PER.SE. I'm interested in many things and always enjoy learning and doing new stuff.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
At this moment I´m traveling through Europe for the first time. I decided to take about 6 months to do it because I don't want to be the typical tourist, visiting everything in a rush and just ticking places and experiences on my "To do list". I prefer to be a traveler than a tourist, and visit each place at my own rhythm. In my humble opinion being able to stay as much time as I want in each place I visit is the true luxury. By the other hand I also think that the world is full of beautiful places, but in the end, if you don't get involved with people, if you don't generate bondings, there are just places... For me traveling is mostly about the experience, which involves new places, cultures, friends and growth. Once a friend I did in Eastern Island told me ... "Life is about the people you meet and what you create with them", and I couldn't agree more. So that's why I'm on couchsurfing, because I'm on my own but hope to meet some cool people on the way. Hopefully local hosts that are able to show me the best of their cities!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music & Movies!!! Of my favorites things in life!
I enjoy almost all types of music and LOVE to dance, but normally I would hear Indie Rock/Pop music. Like the one they play in festivals like Glastonbury or Lollapalooza.
It's difficult for me to choose a movie. But also my taste goes for more independent cinema. If I had to choose one director could be Richard Linklater.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leave my 3 year entrepreneurship in my hometown, Santiago, and go to live for 2 years to one of the most wild and amazing places on earth, PATAGONIA! (where I had lots of stories and adventures!)
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I could teach Spanish and photography.
Learn: Would love to learn to cook local dishes of each place I visit, but I'm really open to every free and new knowledge!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good moments! And laughs? Of course a good conversation with a couple of good stories around a glass of wine or a cup of tea (depending on the hour of the day). Glad to be also a night hang out partner to go for dinner, party or some ice creams or anything sweet!
