About Me

On the personal side, I'm a mother of two grown daughters, daughter to elderly parents, and wife to a wonderful husband in Berkeley, California. I'm also mom-cat to two fast-growing kittens, keeper to a pet snake and mother-of-dragons to four chickens.

On the professional side, I'm a co-founder in a software startup with grand ambitions to bring families together to share history in old photos. With Ponga, a thumb drive filled with scanned images of any size is quickly transformed into neat albums sorted by the familiar faces of cousins, aunties, and grandparents.

I have a strong Liberal Arts background in Art History and Anthropology but found my way to technology as a way to pay the bills. It turned out I was good at the role of product management which was quite new back in the (ahem) '80s when I started.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm pretty new to this and frankly a little nervous, but ready to try it for an upcoming trip to SLC for the Rootstech show where we'll be launching our new product at Ponga.com. I'm looking forward to Couchsurfing as a way to connect with real people in the community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd like to think that the truly amazing is still to come, but being a mom to two amazing daughters is certainly the most important.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a tech nerd without ever even having taken a course in engineering. More than anything I've learned how to learn and how to be helpful to the inventors and creators who propel our world of technology. Websites, blogs, social media — happy to help with anything like that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've got an unusual set of skills related to technology and would be more than happy to help with any of that. I'm also a pretty ordinary mom, cook, and have the sort of few useful-around-the-house skills anyone who's maintained a home can appreciate.
