Overview
About Me
I'm a very open and talkative person, I love going out, meeting new people and I'm generally really open-minded. I'm funny and really enjoy making people laugh, sometimes I try too hard to make that happen which can be awkward, but it's all in good spirit. I personally believe that life can be pretty hard so people should be kind, and they generally are. For the most of it human being have really interesting lives and I'm really grateful whenever I get the chance to listen to someone's stories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm that kind of girl who has an itching on her feet that can only be eased by traveling. Ever since I was a kid my family and I would seize every opportunity we've got to visit different places. Be either by car, ship or airplane we experienced a lot together, but now it's time for me to explore this great big world on my own. I'm taking this year to go on a trip around the world: 12 months, 5 continents and a unique life changing experience.
Interests
I'm a film major who loves reading and all things related to pop culture. I'm also very good with the basics of baking and currently trying to move on to more challenging things in the kitchen. I usually suck at games, but a really enjoying playing them.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music wise I enjoy anything that can get me dancing, especially Ska and some MPB (which is typical Brazilian music).
My favorite directors are Stanley Kubrick, Wes Anderson and Woody Allen.
I like novels and short stories and usually I prefer Brazilian authors, but currently I'm experiencing with the Russians.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once some friends and I started a film program in a children's hospital which was basically going there twice a month and showing some movies, it wasn't much, but the look they would get on their faces when we arrived was something very special.
Teach, Learn, Share
For a couple of month I was an English teacher in Sao Paulo and it was such a rewarding experience that got me thinking about following a career in teaching.
