About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Babyboy - everything is new, adventurous, exhausting, wonderfull!

ABOUT US

We're a couple and enjoy living together and sharing our flat with people from all around the world.

Barbara:
I'm an open minded person who always tries to fit too many activities in too little time.
I love dancing, martial arts, music, motorbikes, traveling, the book "Time Traveler's wife", the film "The Professional", my family and friends and last but most my husband. =)

I don't like forgetting my headphones for the mp3-player, hanging around on sundays with a hangover and doing nothing, racism, beans, corn (except the peruvian one which is not sweet) and pickles.

Johannes:
(from Barbara's view:) Nice guy. Likes and hates sports at the same time, thinks and worries alot (sometimes without any reason), works hard and loves couchpotatoeing afterwards, is too lazy to write his own text here so he'll have to cope with this. :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW WE PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing and hosting and enjoying both sides. Meeting CS-people every now and then.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Over-all positive.
We hade quite some guests so far and it was great to meet them - you - all! Every time someone is happy that we show them around and they discover things they'd definitively hadn't found without us we're happy with them and a little proud. =)
Also surfing was a good experience so far. We were welcomed warmly every time and had some especially great experiences in Latin America. Thanks so much!

However we have the impression that a lot people are flooding CS who don't seem to share our view on the core and spirit of couchsurfing but simply are searching for cheap accomodation. We don't see that as the main purpose of couchsurfing and we won't accept copy-paste requests that don't show ANY interest in us as persons at all. We'll also try to favor people who host themselves or contribute to the community in any way. In our opinion CS is not "air-bnb for free" it's supposed to be a community where people take AND give.

Interests

We are doing martial arts together and watching TV series. We like watching movies at the cinema or at home and having barbecue when the weather is fine.
Some of us are pretty good at snowboarding, others very good in hurting their knees doing so.j ;)
Wednesdays evenings are usually reserved for hobbies so we try not to host (only) on these days because we'd not have time for our guests without neglecting our hobbies.

Brookling Nine-Nine (thanks to TomBro!)

Barbara:
One of the best books I've ever read: The time traveller's wife written by Audrey Niffenegger.

I really loved reading "The hobbit" and "The lord of the rings" from Tolkien. Much better than the movies - however the movies were good as well. ;)

Music: Changing from time to time. Kind of the old stuff from Linkin Park, Billy Talent, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Olly Murs, pop Stuff in general and especially R'n'B, rock stuff, melodical metal, Van Canto, Amorphis...
Depending on my mood.
