Hello!

My name is Barbara, I'm 23 and I work as a travel agent! So you can say that travelling is 24/7 on my mind, because when I'm not planning my next trip I'm planning somebody else's trip or exchange program.

I've lived in the USA when I was 16 for a year and that's when my love for travelling starded. Since then I've been trying to get to know as many different cultures as I can and that first exchange program made me realize I wanted to help other people have the same experience I had. So that's when I started to study Tourism at a University in Brazil and working at a travel agency that is specialized in exchange programs.

After that I also lived for 6 months in France and traveled around as much as I could (or as $ would let me).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Counchsurfing because a friend of mine hosted 3 girls from Portugal at his house this year and I had the greatest time ever sharing stories and interesting facts about my country and about my city with them. Before I got to know them I didn't knew about "CouchSurfing" so as soon as they left I got on the website to see if I could also help some other people get to know my beautiful city and also to find other great people wanting to host me on my next trips.

Interests

I love to have friends over or to go out with friends! Every weekend we go to different parties or to different houses to meet and have fun. I'd say this is my favorite thing to do aside from travelling.

I like to learn new languages, so I'm always trying to improve my french and my spanish to be able to open new doors to communication.

I also play the piano, but since I couldn't have one at my house I haven't been practicing much lately.

My new adiction is to walk/run on the park or to go to the gym after work! It used to be an obligation but now is something I really look foward to after a long day of working or after a long week.
