Aloha!
Im Barbara from Chile, my first travel was 3 days after I was born in Santiago and I went to the south of Chile; Concepción, Temuco, Valdivia. I am kind of nómade living for short periods of my youth. Until arrived with my family in Viña del mar for all my teen age. Then at age of 10 traveled to México for a month, it was amazing beautiful experience, the second big travel was to hawaii for 3 years, I learned english also study 2 Years Marine Biology plus I learned so much more on those beautiful islands.
I liked living 100% sustainable house, my neighbor's were native and I try to enjoy life where ever I am, carrying the aloha Living and feeling grateful to call that magic spot something like my second home.
Came back to Chile, to learn more tools to acomplish my dream. I became a barwoman, also waitress, and others things like babysitting, housekeeping to reach my goal, which was become an instructor of Ski and snowboard. Thanks to my family and friends I start this beautiful career in Banff Canada where I lived 8 months.. finally I return to my homecountry Chile, living in the south Araucania, teaching others to enjoy nature, and to share experiences and good moments.
Right now I am stock in the big city, due to an accident 2019 which I lost my visión of one eye, I came for a medical control and covid pandemia hits, leaving me here. Waiting for my cirgury, and wishing to not get the virus. My mom a nurse and my uncle a rescue ambulance, I Will like to become a rescue person as well.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

So on my years in Maui I met an awesome girl who was doing this misterious at first the ''couchsurfing'' and I found it extremely good and interesting :D Hoping to make friends on the journey, good memories and experiences but specially I will like to learn something new every day.

After a few months I try it for my first time and I went to Colorado Breckenridge where I met an incredible first Host, that results he is an instructor of ski and the first time I trully got very into the sports in the white snow. It was an amazing time visiting and trying couchsurfing, thanks to this host perhaps give me the push to follow my passion far away from normal institutions or carer..
Then I used IT again in Canada, meeting amazing host ! So happy to had that opportunity to travel from Banff to Vancouver, after IT continue hitchiking down west coast of USA till los Angeles.

I love many things. Nature itself is my best cure to any disease. I Will be glad to learn more about living with IT, armoniosamente. Sustainability is my dream to accomplish one day, together of being a rescue person as volunteer or possible job in the future. I like to share, the experiences, moments, I believe that sharing is caring. I like to live my life in aloha living way, with respect, tolerance, love and patience. Recognizing my roots, and ancestros before me, wishing some day to practice a simple way of living and in a community, that love is the principal thing. Love to all ways of living.

I like movies because I feel they can teach a lot as well, give me an idea of many things I did after. Like them all. Music too, I believe all sounds and rhytms can be unique. Book I have a few, but once I am really interest IT I Will end it jeje
