About Me

Hey CSer! I have now settled in Australia, living in beautiful Brisbane. Unfortunately I cannot host yet but I will be happy to show you around.

PHYLOSOPHY

I'm a big believer on keeping things simple, the wheel has already been invented, so no need to stress making one. That's why, what better way to describe my philosophy on life but to use phrases u already know
- "Choose a job that you love and you will never have to work a day on your life". I love my career I couldn't picture my self doing anything else.
- "Work hard, play/party even harder". This one is pretty much self-explanatory
- "What you see is what you get". I'm an open book person, I'm extremely honest, sometimes too much so I might offend people on occasions, I'm not doing it on purpose I just dont have much filters, but I'm getting much better at it.
- "I'll rather have a passport full of stamps, than a house full of stuff". I mean if you can have both, yey for you! But given the chance I'll always go for the plane ticket
Also, I'm a firm believer that humans are inherently good so I'm very trusting. I guess we do have that in common, I mean who else lets a complete stranger into their home?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I know how challenging it can be to find yourself in a place you don't know, specially an airport or bus terminal where everything is so chaotic and on top of that add the fact u barely speak the language and the locals spotted u as foreigner right away. I guess the big bagpack on ur back does the telling ;) so this is a great way to help out fellow travellers.
CS is the best way to share my lovely country sights and culture and in return I get the chance to meet some amazing people and learn from them. It doesn't matter if u r hosting, being a guest or just meeting for the day the chance for cultural exchange is always there.

Interests

I love to travel and learn different cultures, duh!
I'm a huge nerd, so I spend a lot of time reading and watching TV Shows. Unfortunately I've got a bit of an addiction and currently I'm following over 30 shows (yes! that many and sad part is I'm probably lowballing it) but good thing is in the eventually we ran out of conversation we can always discuss that one episode of ur favorite show, chances are I have watched it xD
Weekend nights are to be spent dancing, I love to go out clubbing
I like to learn things that most people cannot do or find difficult to do, like how to tie ur shoes in two movements or just weird random facts

Music, Movies, and Books

I like music you can dance to, so basically everything you would hear at a club. I'm particularly fond of R&B, reggaeton, electronic and pop music. Lately, I've started taking dancing lessons (salsa, bachata and kizomba) so you might hear this music when I'm home and see me walking funny, don't worry I'm not drunk is just me trying to follow the rythm while doing the basic steps.
I love to read! I'm a huge fan of books specially if they come in sagas, I'm more inclined to epic fantasy books, middle earth ones. So yeah! that means The Chronicles of Narnia, LOTR, Harry Potter and a Song of Ice and Fire among others
Actions movies! as long as there's a fight scene or something being blown up I'm game

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked at a sky center in Lake Tahoe, USA for a season and got to ride the mountain every single day
I have gone to Australia twice as a student, first time as exchange and the second for a masters during those times I got to hug and hold a Koala and pet a few kangaroos

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to solve a rubiks' cube
I wanna learn how to say hi, bye, please, thank you and cheers in your country
I'm more than willing to share my couch with you if you need it
