My name is Barbara and my favourite substance is plaster. I'm an art historian and I love all that is art. I like to learn how to count from 1 to 10 in different languages, write things down with coloured pens, write lists and postcards, and drink coffee in every city I visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have travelled around Europe by train with 5 friends during the summer of 2009, and we found all the right places wherever we went and we met the most magnanimous people wherever we stayed. It goes without saying that we wouldn't be able to do this without couchsurfing. Since then whenever I travel I like to meet up with locals and learn to see the city through their eyes.

And also, I do love Budapest, the city I live in and know the most - if you need some tips and looking for hidden gems, I'm here to help you out!

Interests

Fine and applied arts, mostly. And discovering other countries and museum in those countries. I also quite enjoy collecting things, writing letters, drinking coffee, reading books, watching good movies and listening to some music (mostly jazz these days).
