Born and grown up in a small town in Slovakia which is still my home and I love to return to for a while. Still, I enjoy living far away, discovering new places, new cultures, food, drinks, meeting new people.
My living abroad started in Prague, Czech Republic (slow start, considering I am from Slovakia, I know). Prague is THE city of mine.
Then I moved to Groningen in the Netherlands, where I studied and traveled a lot around Europe. Beautiful time :)
I also lived in Shanghai for two years. Crazy city, full of people rushing somewhere all the time. This made me realize how important our time is and where, how and with who I want to spend it.
This December, I returned from NYC where I lived for 4 months. This was very different craziness to China. Ask me why :) Even better if you have similar experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have just joined Couchsurfing thanks to friend recommendation. I am planning to travel to Spain and Portugal this summer for a month. I am looking for people to meet, talk, grab a coffee, lunch or go sightseeing on my way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I feel like I am a music slut so whoever is around me and shows me his or her music, I will find something I like and add it to my playlist :) But I really don't like techno and can't listen to heavy metal for longer than 2 minutes. When I was a teenager I listen a lot to reggae and dancehall, now I am more into indie or dnb.
I love to go to music festivals in the summer where I always discover great new music.

I wish I read more books, I usually try to catch up in the summer, during my travels. If you have any tips for summer 2019, let me know :)

When traveling, I love to learn about the history of the place and the art that reflects it.
Of course, I want to meet new people to learn about local traditions, food, and drinks. Also, share facts about my culture, travels, and experiences.
