About Me

Barbara, 22, Ostrava - Czech Republic

Unfortunatelly, my lifes complicated at the moment and I cant host anyone for now...

I am quite international and people usually get really confused, so heres my story :) When I was 17, I moved to Denmark to finish high school, because I have always really wanted to live abroad. After graduating, I moved to Canterbury, England, to study Hispanic Studies and Italian (basically literature, history, cinema, politics and languages of Spanish and Italian speaking countries :)))at the University of Kent. Since I study languages, I was obliged to live in a Spanish speaking country and Italy, 6 months each. So I started off my year abroad living in General Villegas, Argentina. I worked as teaching assistant in a private English institute, and some weekends I worked 400 km away from my Argentine home town organizing English camps for children from 10-18 y.o. (bunfire, games, sports, singing, craft works, performances etc) I REALLY REALLY ENJOYED working with kids and it is definitely something I would like to dedicate my future to, preferably somewhere between Mexico and Argentina, since I love Latin America :) I live in Salerno, Italy at the moment, and I study Literature in Fisciano as an Erasmus student :) I love dancing, having fun, singing, wine, pizza (and food in general haha), sports, but more than anything, I love to travel and listen to peoples stories :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here because I love to travel, and getting to know new people :) I think that you cant ever fully understand a culture if you dont actually see the peoples home, how they cook, how they live, how they talk to their families :) What they do in their free time etc etc, and I just love observing people from other countries, and sharing my experiences with them :)
