About Me
Hey guys!
My name is Barbora and I am a 22 year old Slovak girl, full of determination to see the world! I study in Bratislava (capital city), where I mostly live, but I tend to have several homes during the summer and spend a lot of time in my hometown. You could say I'm always kind of on the move.
I'm just starting my Masters in International Relations, since I finished my BA this year. Thanks to my studies I had the opportunity to meet a lot of interesting people, experience work experience, as well as develop my interests in politics, global affairs, human rights, gender equality, etc.
Travelling has been one of my hobbies since a very young age. Culture, languages, people, nature are things that warm my heart. I've moved many times in my short life and mostly lived in a co-habitation with someone. I am glad to join your community here :)
ps: I am new here, so I hope I have a chance to make new friends and look credible haha
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This summer my friend and I decided to make our dream come true and experience a proper Italian summer in the form of back-packing. Since we all know the student life, we try to find the least expensive option, plus meet amazing local people with interesting stories and recommendations. I like the idea of people helping each other, purely on the basis of humanity and kindness. So I'd be happy to show you around Slovakia and help you with accommodation on your next visit in return.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm the kind of person who answers these questions by saying I like everything. As far as music goes, I like the indie rock genre the most, but I'm also a big techno person.
I like to read philosophical and political books, but I don't despise a good fiction or novel either.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my time in Prague, I interned at Amnesty International, where I had the opportunity to see the world of volunteering and meet amazing people.
I also recently met the President of the Slovak Republic in person!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share with you pinions and insights from someone from a different country and culture, give you a crash course in my language and an enjoyable conversation as well as a company. On the other hand, I want to get to know and really understand your culture. As a token of my gratitude I will bring you some Slovak souvenir or alcohol.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Since I have many different homes that are always changing over time, it's hard to say what all I'll be able to offer. However, if one is not demanding, there is always a bed/couch to sleep on :).
If you would like the best guided tour of either Bratislava or Trnava, I am available! I'll be happy to pass on tips and tricks to help you in the city.
