About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be happy

ABOUT ME

Oh this part of profile is never the easy one... even if I were horrible, I wouldn't probably write it here :D ... I will be genuine!

Ok, personally I do not think I am horrible ;)

I grew up in a small village in Slovakia, with a wonderful family, but I was cursed with a traveller's heart and a mind that never stops producing stories; and so it wasn't long before I packed my suitcase and decided to make some of the so tires real.

I am, in short, a happy person, very passionate about living the life I have as well as I can. One of those people, who can sometimes annoy with endless optimism :D

I am a bit of geek when it comes to reading and writing and movies.

I love to get lost in dancing; hike my way above the clouds, spending time outside, cycling, creating new stories and my own projects. I also enjoy teaching (anything I know well enough to teach), it makes me happy.

I love to learn (but dislike institutionalised education) skills manual or theoretical - especially new languages (one thing that comes to quite easy).

I am passionate, hardworking and sometimes can be very stubborn.

I like spending time with people, discussing ideas, sharing opinions, partying away but I also enjoy (and need) to spend time alone to reflect and relax in my own little world :) - it's all about the balance.

PHILOSOPHY

Be happy - if you are not happy, you will not be able to make anybody else happy. Take responsibility for your own life and (in)decisions. Don't blame, judge or complain - you have all the power to make the changes and have the life you yearn for.

Don't hold anger, forgive, learn to enjoy the moment you are living right now, be present.

Appreciate what you have, be grateful for for the good as well as the bad that came your way, 'the bad things' are nothing but the teachers we hated while at school but appreciated the most when we grew up because they taught us best.

Life is simple - not easy - but simple. Don't complicate it.

Do not worry, it's pointless. Face your fears, that is the only way to freedom.

Love.

Take any opportunity for love you can get.

Laugh, sing and dance - no matter whats going on, these things will make it better.

To trust and love others you first have to true and love yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couch surfing, though I have heard about it a lot in past years. Currently I finished uni, quit a wonderful job, sold all my things and decided to travel wherever life takes me so I would like to couch surf for a few months and will be happy to host once I settle :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far, but excited about changing this fact!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am fairly eclectic when it comes this... that would be for long :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked the Camino from St Jean to Finisterre!
Managed not to drink coffee for 3 days!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have experiences with teaching English, I can also try to teach some Slovak or French, some salsa or bachata perhaps ( I am still a learner my self but I have been dancing for a year) :) I know a lot of generally pretty useless but impressive facts, I can teach to bake or cook certain cakes or dishes...

I would love to learn to play ukulele, or any other new type of dance. And practice my Spanish! I can understand most, I just need to make my knowledge active.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
