About Me

CURRENT MISSION

We're Back! Living in the old hood in South Lake Tahoe again

ABOUT ME We don't really have a kid friendly house and we aren't big kid people so please don't be offended if we aren't into it, but we're a little more degenerate than most:)
We're not into religion and we don't like to talk about it. We are eternal optimists and have met nothing but great people through couch surfing, but we’re picky. We’ve gotten older and really like our quiet time. If we respond then we’re interested, but forgive us if we don’t run a boarding house for backpackers, we’re just less party animals than we used to be.

PHILOSOPHY

Give everyone the benefit of the doubt and if they disappoint you, crush them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We would like to host fun honest people whom we can visit later in life, ideally. Would like to absorb experiences to educate ourselves about future travels, enjoy the place we live with others. We're looking for cool interesting people... so don't suck.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are now experienced hosts. We have been to meetings in Florence, Reno, and Buenos Aries. We have still not surfed with anyone, but we have met some great people everywhere we've gone through CS.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classics, new wave 80-90's and a healthy respect for other opinions...folk, indie, ethnic, techno... oh hell whatever as long as it's not repetitive and vapid. BRING YOUR MUSIC.. we love to share.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in China was amazing for any westerner, especially where we lived. Starting a business there was crazy. We've traveled and lived in some beautiful places, Tahoe, Rome, Paris, London, but Austin is the place we miss most.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would love to learn anything about sailing, music, shooting, golf. Always happy to share what we have and know. If you’re into food, you’ve come to the right place. We love to cook, and we’ll try just about anything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lots of crazy stories and excellent cooking, an easygoing place to stay, some fun, friends and probably lots of wine.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, China, France, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
