About Me

--wow-- ten years have gone by since i wrote this profile. :)--
>> moved to the country. lovely family. Still go for long walks.

CURRENT MISSION

Steady.... ssssteeeady. Stteeady. Do or die in the world - finding the stillness in the city.

ABOUT ME

A few years go by, and i still am essentially the same. With more beard, more experience, more stillness.
I love this life And there's so much more to know and experience. Will you join?
-----
Let it be said. I love bicycles. Particularly of the yellow kind.

That aside, I am: Not a series of adjectives and occupations.

I breathe, and try to learn from that, I love and try to make different mistakes, not repeat the same ones. I eat, and enjoy breaking bread with other brothers and sisters. I walk. I enjoy dancing, I enjoy humming in the woods, I appreciate the little tiny sparks of coincidence that create new friendships and take me on roads, and off of them.

What's to say! There are many things i enjoy, i believe most people registered on couchsurf are enjoying something that i either know already and love, or do not know already and will love. It began as I decided to venture off in november '08, riding a canoe down the Ohio, planning to escape a dreary winter...Now, well I've lived in three continents, and there's no end in sight to adventure!

PHILOSOPHY

Change is the only constant in life...
(Growth is optional).

Since Words tend to be the least reliable purveyors of Truth, it thus is challenging to summarize or describe a thing such as Personal philosophy. A little exclamation will do:

Hail-IYouJah!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host, I create trust, I create circles, hospitality comes in many forms. I share what I know and have. I endeavour to create this more and more in my Life.
-----
Commun-ity, Togetherness.
For now, i have only room to share a tent, so i end up being hosted rather than hosting. And for that i am much grateful.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Little overall, as in directly through CS, but i've been hosted for 5 months in Malawi. And many places elsewhere at friends - this is the way.
---
well, travelling through and making friends has been made so convenient using this system.

Good experiences, that is all!

Music, Movies, and Books

I've really enjoyed Ben Howard's music these days. :)
----
Art/is\Life.

Listening to Xavier Rudd inspires me. Most heartfelt music moves me and I am glad to share it.
Books can fall in that category and films certainly do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I marvel at the textures of clouds and, the feel of bark against my palms. The vastness of sky.

Memorably; a hill side in California - so quiet , so still, it felt I could hear the clouds shadows a they hovered.

I once saw some flowers that were so Magenta my eyes couldn't really see what color they were. Very odd.

You know, the usual.

I have seen a butterfly grove in Thailand - that was simply marvelous.

Teach, Learn, Share

Tao-each L(earn)sH Are

SLACK LINING!

Beat boxing
Finding imbalance in your body.
Twisting your tongue.
I can teach/share meditation techniques and insights.

Whoever hosts me is entitled to a massage. ;-)
There is a lot more to know, and likely a lot more I can give that simply isn't popping off the top of my head right now.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good chats.
A pipe by the pines.
Tea. (Coffee!)
Music listening.
Slack-lining.
Talks about yoga.

My cats.
