CURRENT MISSION
A Vagabond for Adventure
ABOUT ME
I grew up in the Washington D.C. area, and went to a small liberal arts college where I got bit by the travel bug for the first time. I lived in Italy for a year, continued straight into grad school, then proceeded to quit my job and sell everything to roam around the States for 4 months. After an epic journey I am now living my dream working for an active travel company.
PHILOSOPHY
The tao of mike. An amalgamation of world religion ,philosophy, spirituality, life experience,a desire to always fight the good fight, and an inherent belief in the good of man.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: my top two would have to be Good Will Hunting and Shawshank Redemption. I recently saw an indie movie called "One Week" that was amazingly inspiration and insightful. Aside from those, I enjoy the art of cinema in its entirety. From chick flicks to horror films, comedies to dramas, I love it all.
Music: literally anything. I think music is one of the most beautiful and powerful things we have as a society, with a unifying force that transcends all difference.
Books: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, The Alchemist, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Done: Lived in Italy for a year and traveled to 15 of the neighboring European countries. Completed a 13 mile adventure race in the mountains of PA. Left everything I knew for a chance to explore. And now, am getting paid to travel the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share with you some really bad jokes, some interesting stories, and my worldview. I can teach you all about whole food nutrition and mind-body medicine, vegetarianism, and how to speak Italian, among other things. I will learn about absolutely anything.
