ABOUT ME

My name is Barbara and I am originally from Valencia. I am working for a Study Abroad program so I am in constant touch with foreigners and different cultures. For my work I've had to study the history of Valencia and I can give you tiny tours around the city to explain a little history about it. However, I am a big fan of tapas, montaditos and beer!! So I am also down to just hang out and show you my favorite Valencian spots to have delicious food or just some cheap drinks :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My boyfriend and I joined the CS team back in 2009 when he was studying abroad here in Valencia. We travelled to Ireland, Switzerland and Italy and were luuuucky enough to have amazing people who hosted us. We were so thankful and excited for all the wonderful people we met and how great they treated us that since then we also recommend couchsurfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love how Couchsurfing is not a "free spot to crush". CS is more than that. It's about meeting interesting people who are excited to meet other cultures, to show them around their cities, to just help a foreigner to have a completely different experience than if that person just booked a room in a hotel.

兴趣

I love so many things it's hard to descrite them all! I love my friends, and having a great time with them. I love doing new things every week: going camping, visiting a winery, renting a cabin in the mountains, travelling to visit my boyfriend (he is currently working in Santander!) I love trying new food, all kinds!! (even tho I'm not a fan of spicy!) Dancing, singing, playing Wii, going clubbing but also staying in, reading a good book, or watching bad MTV shows... yup, that's me!

I have travelled around 22 states in the US, only 10 countries in Europe and around 6 communities in Spain... I have seen A LOT, but I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MORE!!!
