Hello, I'm a Mathematics Senior from Turkey aspiring to interact with people from every culture in the world. I like to travel mostly to meet new people and I'm not a huge fan of seeing museums or tourist attractions except for certain unique stuff. I like to dive into the narrowest streets and say 'Hi!' to everyone passing by. Thus, I consider myself to be rather warm. I appreciate everyone that I've met so far in my journeys and I'm eager to meet those crazy peeps I am yet to spend time with despite being a very late-comer to Couch Surfing.

I like to fill all of my spare time with music from all around the world and I'm very enthusiastic to discover new genres and see underground bands perform. Music is my deepest passion where I lose myself from time to time. I have played a couple instruments on and off but I'm currently only listening and appreciating the beauty.

Apart from music my second biggest passion is breakfasts. I love to cook new recipes and try different cultural breakfasts. I love to cook especially when I'm not hungry otherwise it ends up feeling like a job or a responsibility, but cooking should be about love and passion. However, my kitchen companions tell me that I have to find someone to clean up after me when I'm done cooking.

After I'm done with my academic studies in Turkey for good, I'm hoping to pursue a degree of higher education in Scandinavia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After travelling a lot for the past 6-7 years, I've found myself missing when it comes to interacting with locals. I've spent a whole lot of time in hostels and at the end of the day I ended up being that guy who hasn't met a single Frenchmen in 7 days of Paris. I'm hoping to find a profound experience where I can actually interact with locals and get to understand the cultural differences.

Also I feel that staying in your home gives me a warmer experience than what would have been if we had met in the corner of a street somewhere. This kind of experience is priceless.

⚠️ Regarding Hosting ⚠️
~ The surfer MUST be fluent in English or another language that I speak
~ My house is not a place for you to sleep and charge your phone, I expect for the surfers to actually spend some time
~ You will have a private room and you're expected to leave it as you've found it
~ I don't expect you to contribute for meals that I prepare; don't try to give me money, however, I expect you to not munch from the fridge. Just eat your own stuff unless offered otherwise
~ I prefer not to host Turkish people, yea sorry guys, thus, I expect my surfers to not bring home any locals you found at the bar or something
~ ⚠️ last but not least, if you have problems with pets don't bother requesting a stay as there is a 8 months old Old English Sheepdog in the vicinity, please google the breed to find out what to expect in terms of size, most people are intimidated by the bear hugs, type bear hugs at the top of your request.

I would love to share my stories from my travels with you. Also I would love to cook and have you try some traditional food from my culture and hopefully try to learn some recipes from yours.
