About Me

27 year old guy, originally from the south coast of England but now based in London. Currently travelling the world and learning what I can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet with people - I want to know how countries I visit really function and what happens day to day! Mainly looking for people to hang out with and explore the country but would also love to grab dinner, evening drinks or grab a place to sleep for a night or two.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: All time fave movie is Twister! But also Children Of Men, The Pianist and The Wizard Of Oz. I also really loved Ai Weiwei’s recent documentary on the international refugee crisis.

Music: M.I.A, Lana Del Rey, Frank Ocean. Honestly, I’ll listen to anything - there’s music for every mood.

Books: The best book I’ve ever read is A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara - the best written book ever. Letters To A Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke changed my life, and I love The Descent Of Man by Grayson Perry and Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many to mention - I’ve been very fortunate - but one that jumps out is setting up a youth club within the community I lived in, in India in 2014. I stayed with a tribal community for three months and helped set up a youth group for teenagers in the area.

I’ve since been back to visit and the changes in the community have been incredible, mostly because of the amazing work those young people have done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m a 200 hour trained yoga teacher and always happy to flow with friends! I was a hairdresser for 6 years, so happy to share that. I now work in the charity sector, and love to talk all things society and equality. And I’m slowly learning Arabic.
