ABOUT ME

I moved with the job to Oxford. That was summer 2010. Meanwhile – after two years – I call Oxford my second home. Although I forced myself to maintain also tight bonding to friends and family in Germany. The downside of that is a significant shortage of trips recently. Whatever – can’t complain :)

I’m a Quality Manager for a medical device manufacture and actually like my job. heavily involved in complaint management there is still room for feedback telling us about the positive effect customer experience with our devices and how they change there life.

Furthermore my Job maintain my ambitions to travel. Provided a HQ in Copenhagen I see this beautiful city minimum once a year.

Reflecting myself writing this here I guess I’m permanently on the move… somehow. This was probably triggered by growing up in a village with 800 people. I guess I was ready to leave already aged 8… I changed 4 times Cities in Germany – which sounds for some of you perhaps pretty steady but believe me: in Germany this is a big thing LOL

And the current status is: moving back to Germany… Muenster it is!

If you ever have the chance to visit Oxford go and visit the Drinks on Tuesday. This gives you an impression on how vital the Oxford community is. It is always a healthily mix of travellers and perms having fun in all sorts of activities. I’m enjoying being part if this good thing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have quite a good history with the hospitality club. I used to use it a lot but now it becomes a bit outdated... it is like MySpace and Facebook – sort of LOL. So with MySpace I travelled to Prague, Limerick, Madrid… and met really nice people. You should meet them. They are awesome!

Due to limitations by the Job and fixed destinations of my Friends and Families there wasn’t much travelling recently. However – Couchsurfing for me means being together with my friends in Oxford with always new faces ... becoming new friends. I even fond my room with CS!
