About Me

Hola!

Quick summary of me: young professional that's all about veganism, nature, animals, bicycles, and community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to offer and receive company and accommodations for travelers and as a traveler myself!

I have experienced how fulfilling it is to give freely to those who ask, and to ask for what you need/want respectfully and openly.

I would love to occasionally host travelers in my small apartment (pull-out couch) and meet up with people passing through my city.

If you are requesting more than a two night stay, I will require $20/night compensation from the third night on. We can discuss alternative compensation, if necessary.

The number one rule that guests must abide by is that only vegan food can be stored/cooked/eaten in my apartment. If you will respect this rule please include this phrase in your message:
"Bikers' Rights, Go Vegan"
If you do not I will know you didn't read my profile and simply decline your request.

Please know that I always am careful to not cause others to feel judged regarding their lifestyle, including food choices. The above rule is based on what's most important to me in my personal space and how I desire to manage my kitchen.

Interests

I love to cycle in the city and am building a bike for adventures on trails and gravel roads.

At least once a week I will be cycling with a group of friends or joining a community ride.

I enjoy cooking vegan food and have several signature dishes for impressing omnis and/or contributing to a potluck. I also enjoy trying new recipes or simply improvising in the kitchen.

I also love to garden and care for my houseplants. If you stay with me in the colder months you will be rooming with my large jades/cacti, other succulents, and my steadily growing monstera deliciosa.

My partner and I love to go on adventures of all kinds, particularly with Odin the doggo. That could be long cycling trips, camping, traveling to new places.

I consume cannabis on a near daily basis and enjoy the wide variety of flower, oil, and cannabis/hemp products in my city.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help teach and practice the Spanish language.

I am also happy to show anyone how to cook vegan dishes.

I would love to share my favorite things in my communities and city. I would be thrilled to bring visitors on a community bike ride, to the touristy and not-so-touristy spots in Portland, social gatherings, fun restaurants/bars/clubs, vegan events, go on a hike/nature walk, etc.
