About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Becoming the most interesting person in Brooklyn (ironically)

ABOUT ME

I was born and quickly abandoned by egyptians. They put me in a basket of reeds and threw me into the nile, whereby I floated out to sea, across the mediterranean across the atlantic, into the gulf of mexico, up the buffalo bayou, and was picked up by some caddoan indians out of the rushes. I promptly died, but was luckily reborn in the same area 3389 years later.
Since then I have done many things, of which the voyage was only the first. I have developed a life-long sensibility for farce and parody, I have listened to all the sounds that have reached my ears, I have looked at all the things that have reached my eyes. I have traveled through all the spaces that my feet have taken me through.

PHILOSOPHY

This is hard to articulate, but I would say that I believe in the resiliency of everything. There is no black and white, although I do believe in the Kantian tradition. I would say that Kant does not posit absolutes, since one is required to interpret them through their reading. This brings up a question, is thought essentially platonic, or is the reading and writing of a though much like the destruction of a platonic shape by it's inscription? If you would like to discuss further, please host me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I believe in the ultimate hope, which is a seamlessly integrated globalistic peace. This seems a good step. I will provide whatever reasonable people ask me to. Keep it Kantian.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed during my stay in the Ukraine. Made quite a few good connections with previously random strangers. Now use my experience as a fail-safe conversation filler at parties.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the sun rise over the rio grande from a high cliff.

Teach, Learn, Share

The spiral jetty by the artist Robert Smithson is an amazing allegorical representation of our current society. Imagine, for example, the iteration of the spiral at microscopic scales (salt) and macroscopic scales(earth). Consider a monumental mark of man crossing the boundary between land and water in a remarkable degree of hubris, and then turning around and around on itself until it's effort and intention is nullified. This is only the beginning.
