About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to get as much out of life as I can without compromising my ability to be wild and free and take life as it comes. I look forward to the future with optimism, it will bring me luck, but be prepared 'cause I may just fuck it up.

ABOUT ME

I am a little slow, fairly reserved and am shocked when I enjoy attention. I am a bit scruffy and don't enjoy being spick and span. I live with Nellie and have done for 35 years. We have 3 children, now all left home. Nellie is more spick and span then me. She is a community psychiatric nurse. I have spent most of my life as a builder but am now a musician/busker. We don't have a TV but spend too much time on facebook. We have travelled a fair bit before we had children and are ready to get going again.

PHILOSOPHY

When I remember to, I want to experience every moment, When I don't remember I probably am experiencing every moment.
We are gentle peace loving relatively low consuming people

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy particularly English low budget arthouse films, and invariably dislike Hollywood blockbusters.
I don't read a lot but enjoy social and science fiction and books about the brain and the mind. Nell reads loads of novels. I enjoy among others, ska, reggae, folk, trad jazz, prog rock, dub and world music, but usually don't enjoy Madonna or Sinatra. I prefer bad live music in a pub to good music in a large venue. I need ear plugs for very loud music but do enjoy jungle, d&b, techno. Most of all I enjoy playing acoustic instruments with mates around a fire in the woods.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It feels like everything has been amazing so far. Last night I saw a ska band. They were my most recent amazing event other than today walking in the rain in the woods, or in fact this evening sitting by a log fire. You could say I am easily amazed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't feel I have any particular teach/learn/share speciality but can exchange ways of seeing the world with those who have other ways to show me. As the years pass I have come to feel I have fewer and fewer opinions and am more open to consider the views of others, other than when I am being particularly stubborn of course.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can usually be very interested in you, and try hard to create a comfortable hospitable stay.
