My name is Ariane, I grew up in Paris and then went on to study geology in the UK and in Canada. I am now studying for a PhD in Volcanology in the UK.

I have been travelling for the past three years, working as a volcanologist, translator, English teacher, hostel receptionist, and many other small jobs in various parts around the world. I'm very eager to discover new places and cultures!

I have used couchsurfing on various occasions, in Japan, Colombia, Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, and Serbia. These experiences have been some of the best times in my travels, it's an amazing way to learn about each other's cultures.

I'm on couchsurfing because i believe it is the best way, as a traveller and as a host, to discover other cultures and learn about the way people live on the other side of the world.
