ABOUT ME

Currently taking five months out travelling overland from Edinburgh to Singapore via mainland Europe, Russia, Mongolia, China, Burma, Thailand and Malaysia with my girlfriend Alison.

We actually live in Edinburgh, when we're not travelling. Some bug in the couchsurfing website won't let me update it from Cambridge

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted for friends and housemates but haven't actually logged in to coushsurf in a few years. Was hosted for the first time in Chicago August 2010.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Rosie - brought her camping (before I officially joined CS, met her through Simon (below)
Simon - slept on his couch for a week, but we already knew each other from the real world
April - stayed with her in Chicago
Lacy - met up with her in Chicago
Sunil - we've slept on each others couches numerous times
Miscellaneous. I can't remember all of their names, but my housemate Don when I was doing my PhD was big into couchsurfing, so we regularly had people at our place

I lived and worked in rural Sierra Leone for six month.

I've been around most of western Europe, a lot of the US , Ghana, South Africa. All places have interesting stories. Well I think so anyway

Most recently I have done a lot of cycle-touring in the Scottish Highlands
