ABOUT ME

Hello,

I'm new to all this so I won't witter on for too long!! Basically I've been travelling around on and off for a while and met loads of cool people from all over the place, many of whom couchsurf. It seems like such a great idea. Don't know why I didn't come across it sooner!! I'm kind of drifting at the moment (in a nice way..) I'm a qualified teacher and I've been working for the education department of the RSPB and as a volunteer at a project called Felin Uchaf in Wales, recreating a Celtic Iron Age settlement and bio-dynamic agriculture most recently. Before that I worked in an Alternative Education school (Tamariki School) in Christchurch in New Zealand for a while and in the more distant past I have worked at a school for deaf and hearing impaired kids in India, volunteered with poor and orphaned kids in Morocco and taught English for a short time in Greece. And I was a postman and worked for Royal Mail for many years (something that I am really proud of now, even though I moaned alot about my job at the time! lol)

I'm interested in cooking, astrology, crystals, football and wrestling amongst other things and I'm just looking for adventures really.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything in transitory. Nothing lasts for ever which is perhaps how it ought to be. I don't know really...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not in a position to actually host at the moment (but when I am I'll update my page - I love that idea) but if you are going to be passing through Bradford or Shipley and you want someone to go for a cuppa, a pint or a curry (or all three!) with I'd like to meet you whoever you are or wherever you're from.

I think I've become pretty good at cooking quality meals on a tight budget so I could pass that on to others.

I'd like to learn lots of things really (can't think of them when put on the spot! haha)
