About Me

I have lived and worked in three countries so far, in Dresden (Germany) since August 2022. Not accepting guests yet since I'm still looking for an apartment (will change in October).

I grew up in a rural town in Belgium, where I was a Scout for 20 years. Outside being in nature, camping and hiking, I like to cook, read and run. I love doing new things for the sake of the experience, and listening to people's stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to it by a friend I met at a Couchsurfing meeting. I will start hosting people if my experiences are good. Looking for a place during Octoberfest in Munich, most likely.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Honestly everything that's not dubstep. Sorry but the years around 2013 had just some bad music. Everything else from classical to modern pop is fine. As long as it has a nice melody and maybe someone singing :-) I grew up on 2000's pop and pop rock so obviously that's the best

Movies: I don't watch so much but definitely the LOTR trilogy, and some war movies. I prefer to read

Books: Science fiction, fantasy, historical novels. Lately I read the Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy (Cixin Liu), which blew my mind

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camped by -17°C in the middle of the woods, alone.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Cooking, History, science and technology (if you really want), Anything about the town where I live (Dresden is amazing)

Learn: Really anything that's not too political of an opinion I'm interested to hear :-)

Share: see Teach, I guess
