About Me
CURRENT MISSION
become a local somewhere i am definitly not one
ABOUT ME
In England I have grown up in one city all my life and love having all my friends and family close by me. happiness is popping round for a cup of tea with my sister and niece, and not having to use my car!
I am proud to know my city inside and out, I can tell you the best and worst places to go... I know all the little secret places you can only learn from being a true local. And I love to share this with visitors.
At the moment I am trying my best to become a local in Brasil, After encountering Brasil 2 years ago by accident, I fell in love. The people the music the life, England just didnt match up. So here I am.
As my friends will agree i am unable to make a plan, two nights in one place has regularly turned into two weeks! was far more organisied in England, but when i left my job and my diary at home, i also left my ability to make plans. But this has worked out pretty well so far. I love meeting new people and as almost everyone here in Recife and around is new to me then I am in my element.
PHILOSOPHY
Try to be good, recycle!! be honest, know myself and enjoy getting to know others. Oh and look after your knees you´ll miss them when they are gone!!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment couch surfing is a way to meet new people in a new city. I met and stayed with the most amazing Brasilians in Recife on my first visit, and am so grateful i joined this site! me and my friend were able to experience the most incredible side of this city, which we would certainly have missed if we just passed through as tourists. Thankyou couch surfing, i dont know how it could get better. I cant wait to get back to my city and have people stay with me so i can repay the favour.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all music, mostly. Brasilian music was all amazing and all the different sounds from the different regions! could never remember the names, sorry Andre, but enjoyed listening to all of it. Carnival in Rio was incredible, and all the music in Salvador just never stopped.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I flew straight to Buenos Aires and after three months left for Brazil to enjoy carnival in Rio!! after that was in Brazil for two months and more travelling up to Bahia and Recife and a bit beyond. then i headed back to Argentina and travelled to Bolivia and Peru before heading down to Chile to fly out to New Zealand and South East Asia. This was an amazing trip but tooo rushed.
One of the most amazing things i saw was the sunset on the Isla Del Sol in Lake Titikaka. Incredible, completely alone, just me and a few donkeys
