About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning photography, setting up a business, learning design thinking facilitation, surfing (wave), barefoot running
ABOUT ME
Enthousiastic, creative, kind, honest, positive, sensitive, open-minded, quirky. I love to meet people. I can be very outgoing, but also love alone-time in nature to recharge.
PHILOSOPHY
Playfulness makes everything better :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to connect with other Couchsurfers when travelling.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Big NYE meeting in Saigon 2009/2010, surfing in Saigon with Steve, meeting Brooke & Gareth, Japaleno, many others, and found The Best Restaurant on earth (it's in Saigon). Finding an awesome place to sleep at the Maison et Objet fair 2011 in Paris! Thanks again for that Mac :D
Interests
Currently I'm very interested in 'realness'. Realness in for instance Photography, but also being present in your body, by for instance surfing. I love to be present in the present moment. And when I meet new people I love to connect beyond the normal politeness. I think we all have a reason for being here on earth, and I think the best way to find it is to be really honest with yourself and others.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of movies. Some that really sticked with me are: Cidade de Deus, Into the Wild, Dame la Mano, About Time, les Intouchables.
Books that really have a place in my heart are Eat pray love, The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho, anything by Terry Pratchett, and many others.
I love TED.com. Every time I come there I learn something new and get inspired.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteering as a product-designer at the fair trade design company "Salay Handmade": http://salayhandmade.net
Wow.
Another thing I really loved is seeing coffee plants grow in Sumatra (Indonesia), and tasting how a cacao fruit tastes.
Furthermore I just really love to dance, and that can be a really amazing experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
There are many things I could teach or share, including my experiences with hitchhiking, creativity, making art, meditation, mindfulness, travelling in asia, entrepeneurship, and anything else that might come to mind when we meet :-)
But the best gifts are the ones we don't expect, the ones we couldn't have planned.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my warm personality with all my quirks.
And I could take an amazing portrait of you with my camera.
And of course I can help with household stuff or other jobs that could use a hand.
