About Me

Hi I'm Bart Wittoeck. I have an incredible job at the Port of Antwerp (a beautiful scenery for walks or bike rides). I've been bumming around for about 29 years of which one and a half in Australia. I already have seen a couple of places and although I hate saying goodbye, it feels so great knowing you have friends all over the world.
At this time I'm not able to host, but I will become active again in a little while.
I live in a clean one bedroom apartment with one bathroom and one restroom. We have to share the bathroom and restroom, so keep it clean if you stay! I only accept friend request if you stayed or hanged out with me or I stayed with you.

I expect:
1: if you send me a request to stay: How long will you stay 1-2 nights (if I have the opportunity, you can stay for 3 nights depends my work)

2: Good communication, not just HEY. Short information

3: Clean your own mess and respect my house, I'm not the cleaning lady.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I already have seen a couple of places, while traveling in the conventional way.
Now I feel like couchsurfing is just the best way to go about. I don't like feeling like a tourist.

I want to help people discover my country and get to know it like I know it. The museums, good places to eat and drink, the folklore, the beautiful spots. To make you feel like you are really a guest, not a tourist. I certainly enjoy a good conversation and sometimes a debate about the difference between people from all over the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook. Anyone who can show me and teach me something new, I will happily return the favor. SERIOUSLY!! My dreamjob is to work as a traveling chef.
I play the guitar, so jam session or sing-along enthusiasts are most welcome !
I know my way in the port of Antwerp, home to the biggest shipping locks in the world (Like they claim they have in panama :) ).
