I'm Bas, master student history and Arabic from Ghent, Belgium. I lived for a while in Egypt, but now I'm back in Belgium. I will become active again once I travel :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's always nicer to discover a place with people who actually live there, built its history and experience its daily life. Also, let's not beat around the bush, for people on a budget it's a cheap method to travel ;)

Interests

I like cooking vegetarian/vegan dishes and reading about history, economics and politics. Travelling has always been close to my heart, that's why I plan to do a long journey next year after I graduate!
