About Me
Ahoy there! Sailor gone landlubber down under here :)
Born and raised in the Caribbean, somewhat in the Netherlands, I quit school when I was 15 to go sailing and have been travelling a lot since. Most recently I sailed over to Australia from Columbia.
Besides sailing I also enjoy running, writing, being outdoors, cooking, my hammock.. I enjoy a party once in a while but more often than not prefer to just chill and avoid the hectic city life.
Currently in Australia to work hard and save up so that I can stay in SE Asia for an extended period.
So far I've hitchhiked down from Bundaberg and have met so many amazing and generous people along the way!
Anything else, ask :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend recommended that it would be a good way to get a roof once in a while. I'd like to think of it as a very short-term help exchange of sorts, though I haven't as yet any experience with being hosted through Couch Surfing. Meeting great people hopefully: maybe even finding a travel buddy.

Music, Movies, and Books
Mostly appreciate good lyrics and therefor do not have any particular genre or bands even that I like..
I enjoy mostly non-fiction books. One of my favourite movies is "Limitless".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just one? My dad and I were doing an offshore catamaran delivery when we hit a tree in the middle of the night which caused me to wake up to wet feet with a square meter of hull missing. It took us 3 days to get back to shore after we McGuyvered some repairs in the midst of Murphy's Law at play.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm down for lending a hand with whatever chores or projects you might need an extra pair for: I've got some experience in construction, gardening, boat maintenance, housekeeping, odd jobs.. keen to give a go at anything else too.
Pretty tech-savvy and some experience with web development: can do some troubleshooting if your system has issues.
A chat and some stories of wandering the globe, foreign language exchange, cultural exchange.
