I'm from the Netherlands and in recent years have lived in Sofia, Bulgaria; Istanbul, Turkey; and Moscow, Russia.

I see tourism as a necessary evil, but prefer to get to know a place by actually living there. This leaves me with a huge list of places where I'd like to live at some point.

I work at the crossroads of tech & media, with my specialization being more towards the music business. My last gig was Product Lead at a Russian music streaming service called Zvooq.

Languages: basic Russian, Bulgarian, French, and German - fluent English and Dutch.

- Participated in a Spencer Tunick shot in Amsterdam. That's the photographer who makes shots of hundreds of naked people in strange locations.
- Ran for Dutch parliament
- Freediving!

I tend to move to new countries with zero preparation. In one case, that led to me leading a team of 35 developers, designers, project managers, etc. building an online music service focused on the former Soviet Union. Amazingly exhausting, though ;-)
