About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live a varied and adventurous life full of unusual experiences and people

ABOUT ME

I have been moving around ever since I was a small child and it has become a bit of a lifestyle. At this time I live and work in Corvallis Oregon which is a great place. For a change I would like to stay put, learn gardening and participate in a community. I do love traveling and want to explore new places, but now I have a place to come back to.

PHILOSOPHY

Trying to be as open as possible to experiencing life on all levels

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this couch surfing world, but I am excited to meet new people in my travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only couchsurfed once in Santa Fe New Mexico. It was lots of fun and my host gave me a singing lesson and we picked some prickly pear fruit.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many I could never list them all. Books: Wade Davis, Frijof Capra, Eduardo Galiano, Michael Ondaatje, Denis Johnson. Music: I have been listening to a lot of field recordings lately. Movies: Never cry wolf, Amores Perros, Jesus' son, princess mononoke, morvern callar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have experienced growing up without electricity and running water for a period of my childhood. Me and my family built a house from scratch and put up a windmill, built orchards and pathes all around our property. I touched a hawk once, held it in my hands and let it go.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn from the people I meet, but I'm not sure that I have that much to teach. I can always tell people where to explore in the places I have been and even show them if I am in the area. I can also cook fairly well. I wish I had more to offer.
