One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once built a sailboat from scratch. During a visit to the Highlands, a girlfriend bought a book of boat plans for me, with the idea that I would break up the plates and frame them for art. However, as time went on I began to entertain the idea that I could actually build one of the boats in the book. My father had been a cabinetmaker and I inherited his cabinet making factory and machines, so I had the space and tools. Using a divider, compass and protractor I scaled up the plans and transferred them to plywood, build the frame, formed the plywood over the frame and covered the entire thing with fiberglass. It truly was one of the happiest days of my life when I launched that boat and it didn't sink, leak, or capsize. It sailed straight and true and I got many happy years from it.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I play guitar. I've brewed beer. I used to make wine. I know enough about it to help get you started. I know a little about cooking.
Learn: I've become fairly good with my Digital SLR. But if you know photography, I would probably love you. I have become pretty good with underwater photography, particularly macro. Can't seem to get Wide Angle to agree with me!
Share: Friendship, stories, experience, travel passion, blankets and pillows ... ?
Cooking / Food: I also LOVE to learn how to cook different food. I have been shown foods by Chinese, Japanese, German, and Tunisian guests. If you have a good vegan recipe from your home country, and if we can find the ingredients here in Atlanta, I would LOVE to make it with you!!
