ABOUT ME

I am doing a better job at figuring out my life now than 5 years ago.

I used to be a very shy person. Berlin has luckily changed that. I have always been curious for people. I like diversity and people from all kinds of different countries and social backgrounds. And now the part everyone claims for themselves: I am open-minded, funny, love good and intelligent jokes, intelligent people, good food and cooking with friends, good conversations with a bottle of wine or two.

Also, I used to be a Biotechnologist, well I still hold the degree. But I have changed my occupation to being an Online Marketer which sounds more boring than it actually is. In fact, I love the diversity of my job.

PHILOSOPHY

Do what makes you happy and don't think about what other people might think of it. Noone will live your life for you and noone can make you happy except for you.

Be open for new views and new opinions. Never stop learning.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted and I have surfed. I like showing people my Berlin off the tourist tracks and I love exploring other people's cities and favourite places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted some guys from Canada and from Denmark, Italy and the States.

I love photos, trying my best, but not always succeeding. I love visiting photo galeries and can recommend a few

I like music and dancing. One of my first couchsurfers introduced me to Swing dancing.

I like "good" music - there is no specific direction. I find good music in every genre. My latest favourites: The Black Keys, Ane Brun and Daughter

I read a lot of books for my job or for self-improvement. I love psychology and read quite a few books about communication. If I don't read non-fiction, I enjoy books that use metaphors. Latest favourite: Cees Noteboom

When it comes to movies, I am completely lost. I am not really keen on movies, because they usually don't catch me and therefore I tend to forget them really quickly. It happened to me several times that I was watching a movie and noticed somewhere in the middle, I had seen them before. Movies that still stick in my brain include Whale Rider, Der Krieger und die Kaiserin, 500 days of Summer.

I travelled Australia and New Zealand in a camper van for 3 months. It was the best time of my life!

This passage used to say: I know quite a lot about science. I am not sure if that's true anymore. Nowadays I can tell you quite a lot about Social Media, Internet Businesses, Startups and Online Marketing

I can cook good old german dishes like goulash and cabbage rolls (Kohlrouladen).
