ABOUT ME

Education is my passion. I feel that my education will perform as my tool necessary in order to make my mark on the world. Literature and languages are such an important part of society and life in general that I feel they are an integral aspect when trying to understand other cultures and different types of people. Aside from languages and literature, the thought processes of the human brain have always intrigued me. My genuine interest in helping people to better themselves will eventually lead to a career in clinical psychology for me. Until that time, i'm never taking life too seriously and enjoying every minute.

PHILOSOPHY

I strive to better myself and the lives of others less fortunate than myself through my education and experiences with other human beings which possess views different than my own. As opposed to dwelling on the negatives which can be found in every situation, I choose to focus on the postive aspects of situations and people. I am able to see the good in people and I feel that we as humans must give back to those less fortunate and in impoverished situations.

Reading, learning languages, black and white photography, music, travelling, experiencing other mindsets which differ from my own, positive people, and anything fun basically.

As far as movies go, I am more drawn towards movies which possess a sort of realism. Documentaries, independent and foreign films. Some of my favorites are: Requiem for a Dream, Dummy, Kids, Y Tu Mamma Tambien, City of God, Natural Born Killers, Pi, Hedwig the Angry Inch...I could totally go on and on. Books...huge part of my life. I absolutely love all types of literature, so i'll try and list a few favorites which are representative of my personality. I love the author Chuch Palahniuk, he wrote fight club. My fav book by him is Invisible Monsters. I also dig David Sedaris, and I incredibly enjoy the generation of writers in America called the Beat Generation. Some great local writers of gothic homoerotic fiction from New Olreans such as Poppy Z. Brite, and also I am able to enjoy and appreciate classic writers such as Geoffrey Chaucer and Ralph Waldo Emmerson. Music plays an incredibly important role in my life as well. My favorite composers for a while have been 311, Incubus, Radiohead, and Bjork. I enjoy much classical rock like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. I also love Sigur Ros, Coldplay, Hawethorne Heights, Portishead, James Blunt, and so so so much more. I love experimental productions and anything which pushes the boundaries set by society and which transcends what is considered NORMAL.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The most recent AMAZING adventure that life has taken me on has been my trip to Uruguay and Argentina. For three weeks, I travelled all over the beautiful and small country of Uruguay. I herded cattle and partied with the locals non-stop in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. Then, I crossed the river Plate into Buenos Aires and had the opportuntiy of experiencing one of the biggest and greatest cities in the World. I highly reccomend these two countries to any travel enthusiast, especially anyone with an interest in the Spanish language and culture.
