About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Around the world to Trade and Just 4 Make Friends

ABOUT ME

As everyone here, I love travelling. During my travelling I found out that I don't have to see everything that's possible, every temple, every lake. I quit climbing every mountain. The more I want to explore the culture and the daily live in those new places. I like to travel the cheap way. The best food is the food you can buy on the streets, and the best transport are the local busses, or by foot. I feel happy when I'€™m sitting beside the street eating some bread with banana in the morning.

Here's a list with things I want to do:

- Get a couple for sharing a fantastic trip
- Buy a bike and just start biking
- Get really good in my profession (accounting). Doing a good balance sheet, or maybe even specialize in income statement
- Do the minivan thing
- Hitchhike to Berlin for great parties
- Swimming a 10km open water match
- become a tree planter in Canada
- Live in the desert for a while (with some cool people of course)
- Open a small restaurant and sell foods in Indonesia
- Make a Franchise for my future restaurant

basically i am an energetic, kindly, fast learner, friendly,,easy going, active and romantic person. i love having conversation with smart people & new people from the other country or local because i can get a new friends & a new knowledge.
i'm a hard worker and usually i get relaxed by hanging out with my friends, playing Uno, karambol, remi card, bilyard, monopoly ,tennis, futsal, or just having party .

If there are other crazy things I have to do, surf my couch and share your ideas.

We believe in the power of knowledge.

Cheers!

PHILOSOPHY

- Friends teach you what you WANT to know. Enemies teach you what you NEED to know.
- If you hold eleven different roses in front of a mirror, you will see the twelve most beautiful things in the world...
- the nicest people is the usefull to the other people

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to have friends all over the world. Sharing great adventures, beers in the streets, recipes. Improving my English by learning weird words, listening to stories, get new friends

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I strive to try something one would call 'ti dao' or 'way of life' in that particular place. I am also an escapist among other things. I run 100 miles at a stretch, kayak for days in the sea, ride a bike for 100s of miles etc.

I like long journeys, the ones where you don't take flights, but take the longest possible time to get from Place A to Place B, meeting people on the way, exploring things on my own, backpacking, having no expectations or plans. This has led me to meet many strangers along the course of the journey who have gone out of their way to provide me with an experience of a life time. Some, not all, of them include spending a week with Konyaks -> head hunting tribe of Nagaland, driving an auto rickshaw (tuk tuk) from Chennai to Mumbai 2200 km in the monsoons thro' the ghats, traveling 80 hours to be at a Dylan Festival, acting in a movie, dressing up as pac-man and ghosts with friends and running around Shanghai, time traveling in Samoa skipping Dec 30th 2011 (I am technically a man ahead of my time), singing a Chinese song at a wedding in Wuxi in front of 100s of people, driving a Renaults F3000 car in the Shanghai F1 track, scuba diving with 100 sharks, reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro, teaching Tango lessons for free at public parks, organizing 5 film festival in 2 countries, working in 7 organic farms and a million other things you wouldn't be interested in.

I am not very competitive. I have run enough marathons and Ultra marathons in my life (and won quite a number of them too). Running, or for that matter rock climbing or biking or kayaking, for me is a means to get to places where very few people have been. A reliable mode of transport, not a sport. I find them meditative.

I also am into a lot of sports. Ultimate Frisbee (probably the only team sport where you can't score without a team-mate), Underwater Hockey (probably the only 3D attacking team sport), Dragon Boating, Wind Surfing are some, not all, of my interests.

I have a list of 43 things to do before I die and am on my way to complete the 7th of the list.

I have a habit of sending custom post-cards to hosts from where ever I am in the world. So please HOST me :)

Organic farming, growing my own vegetables on the rooftop are something I am keen on. The idea of self-sustainability always gives me a kick.

I spend most of my money digging water wells for the needy in Kenya and India. And instead of buying gifts for my friends, I put their names on the wall next to the wells I dig. I also help with feeding programs in Kenya. I sponsor a 7 year old kid in Andhra Pradesh (India) his clothes, food, shelter, education etc. I funded a classroom for a school in Anhui (China) and also helped with the manual labor to construct the school and do the electrical wiring for it. Back when I was in India, I used to venture out in the night, while others sleep, with bags of cement and stones and fix the many pot-holes. I also donate for rations to the poor and buy 1000s of shoes for the poor school children in India. And now, I even sponsor a team of underprivileged kids who play Ultimate Frisbee, their tournament costs (travel, food and accommodation to different Ultimate Frisbee tournaments).

Teach, Learn, Share

I generally dabble in things that are new and offbeat. As soon as they get mainstream, I move on to something else. I can get you interested in offbeat stuff like fire poi, jian zi, underwater hockey, tree climbing, didgeridoo, djembe, slack line, geo-caching etc.

I can help you with adventure sports, traveling ideas, planning trips, activities like rock climbing, ultimate Frisbee, mountain biking, Poi etc.

I am good at Chinese and Japanese strategy board games like Xiangqi, Weiqi (Go) and Shogi. I can teach you how to play them.

Share my knowledge on films.

Would love to learn anything. Especially anything that would help me be self-reliant... surviving a storm, cooking my own food, physiotherapy, basics of medicine, growing my own vegetables, giving myself a hair cut... etc. Your tips are much welcomed.
