ABOUT ME

We are in our early forties. We decided to travel, because that's what we love most. We've been married for 12 years. We are a very quiet couple, we don't smoke, don't drink but we can still enjoy parties. We like sharing and exchanging ideas. We love to learn about different cultures.

We have visited few countries (Syria, Egypt, France, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Thailand, Laos, Canada, US, UK, Netherlands, Bolivia, Spain, Ecuador) and lived in few (Syria, France, Kuwait, Egypt, Canada).

Ariane was born and raised in France and lived in Egypt for over a decade before coming to Canada.

Bassel was born in Syria, raised in Kuwait, studied and worked in Egypt (were we met) and final destination was Canada before deciding to quit everything and travel around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We couchSurfed during our round the world journey in the United States for almost 2.5 months. We love the experience. All our hosts were so friendly and we spent a very nice time with each and everyone of them.

Since we are full time travelers, we can't host :( but would like to be hosted :) by people with artistic sensibilities.

Bassel loves adventure, he's a movie addict, and a technology geek.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The most beautiful thing we saw is for sure the Red Sea. The most amazing thing we saw was the Egyptian revolution. And also in 2004 a migration of red giant grasshoppers through Cairo.

The most crazy thing we've done is going for a long 3 days week-end in the middle of the desert with only 6 bottles of water!!!!!

Living in the Galapagos Islands for two months.

I love teaching French, I've been teaching for 15 years and never got bored.

Bassel can teach computer and improve your internet skills. We both can teach Syrian and Egyptian cuisine.

I would like to learn gardening, any language, anything I would feel attracted to learn.
