It's always those 5 minutes of pure focus, on every "about me" section, you think about how should you start. What should you write, you lean more on the part of trying to look cool, or should it be more on showing the nice part of you, so with saying that I could break the ice and start to really write about myself. 😀
My name is Bassel Salah, I'm originally from Cairo, Egypt but at the moment I've been living in Germany since March 2016.
I'm studying Bachelor of Electrical Engineering & IT in the very nice, small and cozy city of Weingarten.
I hope the last part doesn't make you think like, what a nerd, because I could be, but still if I can call myself something, it would be fun, also add humble, I think. 😀
In most cases, I enjoy my days by either going to University, do some of basic daily student stuff, and in the evening I could focus on some gathering with friends and chilling playing cards and smoking shisha, going out, or could stay and watch a movie, it all depends on how my day is shaped, basically.
I like videogames more than I like my girlfriend (Anna if you are reading this, it's too late) (Yes, that's a Drake joke) (Yes, I'm having a conversation with myself) (Yes, this is getting too much and not funny) (Anna please don't kill me) Console, PC, you name it, I wipp still beat your ass, on your own field, if you play fifa, then be ready to make a bet/forfeit about something and let's have fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The idea came to me from a friend that told me some of his experiences with couchsurfing and how cool they are, I had couchsurfing since 2016 and never used it, so now I want to start hitchhiking and traveling to meet different people and see different places, all around Europe and all over the world, if I could.

It's basically the idea of Traveling by hitchhiking to meet new people and try different food, maybe watch a movie with them while talking about music, and after all we can play some video games and I can beat you.

Music, Movies, and Books

I often listen to all kind of music, I thi k the only genre that I don't listen to is Metal. I listen to Classical Music starting from Pink Floyd, to old Jazz. Going all the wat to Alternative rock, Pop, Hiphop, R&B and Rap.
I'm not much of a reader, but the books I read and I really enjoyed were, The 40 Rules of Love, Utopia and The Da Vinci Code.
I enjoy mostly dramatic movies, my all time favourite movie is Seven Pounds. Also movies like The Phone Booth, Whiplash, The Departed & The Shawshank Redemption are one of my favourites. Also Comedies mostly the series of the Hangover, and 22 Jump Street, also Let's be Cops.
Most of the IMDB top 250 I have watched already.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I cannot just name one thing, but I've seen too many nice places, and I've done also a lot of fun activities. But I can say that staying in Amsterdam for two nights without any memories about it, was one of the coolest if not weirdest events in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can always teach middle eastern food, maybe talk a little bit about engineering snd have a nice educational conversation, at the same time teach you how to play a video game or something.
Learn about languages and cultures, food and different ideas and opinions.
I think I can share what I could teach and what I'm hoping to learn, I always like to share a conversation with a person, for me it really Interests me how different minds work, different opinions and all.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would relay and focus on offering my culture, our food and basically everything, I mean I don't only do one thing or have one thing to offer, it's mostly on this specific timing, could always be different on the settings I have on my mind at this time.
