I'm Bastian, born in the beautiful south of Germany and currently working and living in Berlin. I graduated with a Bachelor degree in paramedicine and study "Global Health" in Master Level.
After finishing school, I developed the wish of traveling to another countries and getting in contact with other peoples and cultures.
My first big trip was a summer in the United States in 2018, where I first discovered couchsurfing and had a great time using it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel to another country, I want to see more than just the typical tourist spots. I want to get in contact with the local people, get to know something about their life and create new friendships.
I also want to see the places I visit with the eyes of a local, to enjoy all the secrets and small things they offer.

Interests

I've always been interested in traveling around the world, but never really started it.
My first big trip was a summer in Amerika in 2018, where I worked in a summer camp. This amazing time was followed by other journeys to the USA, Spain and Portugal.
Beside that, I love doing sports and beeing aktive outdoors, especially hiking, climbing and skiing are my favorites.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a specific kind of music I listen to only. I listen to nearly everything, but I prefer modern Pop music.
Reading a book I prefer adventure or fantasy books.
I prefer modern movies to old ones, but I don't have a specific kind of genre as well. Luckily, Netflix offers a bit of everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the greatest experiences in my life was working for the YMCA in a summer Camp in 2018 and 2019.
This has been the first time ever for me in the United States and I've enjoyed it a lot.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always eager to learn new languages and to get to know other peoples/cultures.
Right now I'm about to learn spanish.
