ABOUT ME

No sabría decir cuáles son las cualidades que merezcan ponerse en una breve descripción, intento ser humilde y honesto conmigo mismo, no hacerme demasiados problemas y estar en general relajado, hacer el bien a otras personas y respetar todas las formas de vida. Creo en aprender lo más que alcance, descubrir el mundo y lo que tiene para ofrecer, ser crítico de este "sistema" y recordarme constantemente que no es necesario aceptar a la ligera la realidad que se nos ha entregado.

PHILOSOPHY

La vida puede ser muy ridícula como para tomársela en serio, y muy seria como para ignorarla. Creo que no basta con ser lo mejor de nosotros mismos pero no podemos hacer menos que intentarlo, y conocer el planeta y las culturas que se han generado en él es, al menos, un comienzo.

Life can be too ridiculous to take it seriously, and too serious to ignore it. I think it's not enough making the best of ourselves, but we can't do less than trying to, and getting to know our planet and the cultures that live on it is, at least, a start.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Primera vez en la página y muy sorprendido y emocionado de que algo así exista, conozco gente que participa y he oído sólo buenas experiencias

first time in CS and i'm very surprised and excited about something like this exists, i know a few people that participates and i've heard nothing but good experiences, hope i'll find my own.

Interests

Una cervecita con los amigos, acampar en el Valle, tatuajes, vegetarianismo, tocar guitarra (aunque no soy ningún Jimmy Hendrix), arte callejero, dormir hasta tarde, dibujar, conversar, ver películas acompañado.... pero sobre todo, viajar.

a cold beer with friends, camping in Elqui Valley, tattoos, vegetarianism, playing guitar (although i'm no Jimmy Hedrix), street art, sleeping late, drawing, chatting, watching movies with company, but, most of all... travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

La pregunta más difícil de todas, como a todos me encanta disfrutar de aquellas cosas que exaltan los sentidos, me gusta poder conversar sobre películas y sobre todo poder compartir el ver una. Me inclino por los clásicos como Tarantino, Kubrick, Scorsese, Kurosawa, Coppola, Almodóvar, Amenábar, Jodorowsky, etc. En general pienso que mientras más antiguo el cine es mejor, aunque no crean que soy un amargado que no sabe disfrutar una buena tarde de cine pop-corn, en verdad hay que saber encontrar el placer en todas las cosas. En cuanto a la música, me muevo más que nada (y en general debido a mi ignorancia musical) entre el punk, reggae, hiphop, ska, jazz, blues y rock de los 70... aunque no puedo negar que guardan especial espacio aquellos que remecen la memoria como Víctor Jara o Violeta Parra.
Sobre libros no tengo mucho interesante qué decir en estas pocas líneas, me gustan en general novelas y cuentos... aunque si me debo limitar a una pequeña enumeración de mis favoritos se me ocurren algunos como Dostoyevski,Cortázar, Borges, Bukowski, Kafka, etc.

The hardest of all questions, as most people, i enjoy things that exalt our senses, i like talking about films and specially sharing the moment of watching one. I lean to classics like Tarantino, Kubrick, Scorsese, Kurosawa, Coppola, Almodóvar, Amenábar, Jodorowsky, etc. Generally i think that, the oldest the movie, the better it should be, although don't picture me as a bitter old man that can't enjoy a good afternoon of pop-corn cinema, it's truly all about being able to find pleasure in everything. About music, i go mostly (mainly due to my musical ignorance)around punk, reggae, hiphop, ska, jazz, blues and 70's rock... although i can't deny that i keep a special place for those who make our memory tremble, like Victor Jara or Violeta Parra.
When it gets to books, i don't really have much interesting to say in this few lines, i generally like novels and short stories, and if i have to take it down to a little enumeration of my favourites, i can think in some like Dostoyevski,Cortázar, Borges, Bukowski, Kafka, etc.
