As my name is Bas, I am a singer! I did the beautiful study to become an Opera Singer in the Netherlands (and partly in Germany over Erasmus). As my education is clearly vocal I love the most to write. Not music but prose and poems.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a young artist I sometimes have to travel unexpected to places not next door. Yet I do not have the budjet to always book this last minute hotels. I have noticed people are rather uncertain about inviting people in their homes. And I sort of understand, you need to be a certain type of person to open up for this. On this website people with different ideas express that possibility. I host myself mostly to people that I know or know a person I know. (or know a person that i know that knows....)
