ABOUT ME
26.09.2011: Dearest reader,
I'm currently flip-flopping around Brazil in my havaianas; Shuffling from town to town, often ungracefully tripping in cobbled streets and dropping acai down myself. I'm in love with this place! Having so much fun, and have 2 1/2 months to go. I started in salvador, Bahia and have moved slightly down the coast to Itacare. On my way to Rio de janeiro tomorrow to meet my uncle for Rock in Rio. I'm freestyling. This is as far as I've come. This is all I know. Perhaps we will meet...
Interests
I do often sit with sunken shoulders and sigh when this is asked of me, but it's so necessary here. How else are you meant to know anything about me? How else are you meant to feel comfortable about letting stranger in your home?
The avoidance of filling out this box can always be excused with how time consuming it is, but perhaps it's an attempt at escaping vulnerability (for me at least)It's easier to be cool and vague. Ultimately trying to avoid,'Here I am Couch Surfers please don't think I'm shit'
But what I think is important to mention,is that the vulnerability is mutual...so thank-you for sharing yourself with me, and well done for not needing a superfluous introduction to your interests.
Most of my social interaction revolves around food. I love to eat.I love to cook for/with friends.I love dinner parties.I love spending most of my wages on fancy lunches and decadent, indulgent dinners; and my last 10 pounds on Bangers & Mash with beer, and a sweet thing, around my friend Ben's dining table.
other stuffs:Cinematography, dancing, black coffee, any kind of cycle hire scheme, matinees at the cinema, end of month book/dvd/music shopping, watching films in the bath,CAKE, late night/eartly morning rendez-vous(s), 24hour supermarkets,an occasional cigarette, wondering aimlessly, whiskey, croissants, picnics, art nouveau,a range of 'isms' and of course...travelling! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
A bunch!
Here are some filmmaker's work I like:
jean-Pierre jeunet,Woody Allen, Wes Anderson,Charlie kaufman,Park chan-Wook,The brother Quay,jan svankmajer, jean-Luc Godard, Francois truffaut,Steven Spíelberg, Tim Burton...and some others.
booky wookies: Henry miller, Anais Nin, jean-Paul satre, albert Camus, Dostoevsky, caitlin Moran,George Orwell, Oscar Wilde...what a name dropper. I apologise. I just keep moving further and further back into time. Better to get the classics over and done with in your 20s probably. I'm sure I'll have enough of my own nostalgia to deal with on turning 30 :)
music...anything that sounds good!
