About Me

I am a student studying English Language and Literature. I also work part-time as a receptionist in a touristic hotel. I have grown up in Izmir and I live in Istanbul. I always liked travelling, seeing different places but only after I started travelling outside my country that I realized how much I love travelling really. In my opinion observing different cultures and meeting new people around the world enwiden a person's mind. Also every travel is an adventure. And I am an adventurer! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Maybe there are a lot of ways of travelling, but I think the best way is through local people. If spending time with a person/people who knows how to have some quality time in a city is not the best way then what is? :)

Interests

Besides my travelling enthusiasm I like playing basketball, video games. I like watching football, tv series and movies. I like reading books. (As I should, given that I am studying literature) I like spending time with my friends, mostly in a pub, drinking beer and talking about this and that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really stick to a genre when it comes to music. I listen classical music as well as heavy metal. I love a song of a group but I hate the rest of the same group. In a nutshell I listen what I enjoy hearing. For the movies I usually enjoy watching comedy genre or action when I want to chill. But except that I watch most of the big name science fiction, fiction etc. movies. For the books I like reading books that teaches me, helps me improve the way I think, which are mostly philosophical books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I went outside my country I went to the United States. I few directly to the New York. I did not book any place to stay, did not plan a trip, I did not even know where to go! When I got out of the plane I had no idea what I was going to do next! It was an amazing adventure trying to figure out everything there.
